software. PDNS-Admin is targeted mainly toward individual domain owners,
but should be robust enough to be used in a larger capacity by an ISP or
other big host. For those who may not know, PowerDNS is a domain name
server application, much like BIND, but offering alternative backends for
the storage of domain information.
Changes: A bug where PTR records were being added or edited incorrectly
was fixed. A bad template section that dealt with database prefixes, which
the package does not use, was removed. An undefined indexes error in the
error library file was corrected. A new user module was added to list the
users in the system along with their domain information. A running total
of users and domains will now be shown on the main screen below the
navigation menu. Support was added for IPv6 AAAA records. Support was
added for up to 8 nameservers to be specified.

[033] - Rapid Application Development Library 2.7.2
by Mark Teel (http://freshmeat.net/users/mteel/)
Sun, Feb 10th 2008 15:16
Database :: Front-Ends
Software Development :: Libraries
System
About: radlib is a C language library developed to abstract details of
interprocess communications and common Linux/Unix system facilities so
that application developers can concentrate on application solutions. It
encourages developers to use a proven paradigm of event-driven,
asynchronous design. By abstracting interprocess messaging, events,
timers, and any I/O device that can be represented as a file descriptor,
radlib simplifies the implementation of multi-purpose processes, as well
as multi-process applications. In short, radlib is a sincere attempt to
provide real-time OS capability on a non-real-time OS.
Changes: A bug in radtimers.c when timers are cancelled then restarted has
been fixed. The "install-env" script is executable.

[038] - sysstat 8.1.1
by Sébastien Godard (http://freshmeat.net/users/godard/)
Sun, Feb 10th 2008 13:58
System :: Monitoring
System :: Systems Administration
About: The sysstat package contains the sar, sadf, iostat, mpstat, and
pidstat commands for Linux. The sar command collects and reports system
activity information. The statistics reported by sar concern I/O transfer
rates, paging activity, process-related activites, interrupts, network
activity, memory and swap space utilization, CPU utilization, kernel
activities, and TTY statistics, among others. The sadf command may be used
to display data collected by sar in various formats. The iostat command
reports CPU statistics and I/O statistics for tty devices and disks. The
pidstat command reports statistics for Linux processes. The mpstat command
reports global and per-processor statistics.
Changes: System activity data files have extra header data that enables
you to identify which version of sysstat created them. Machine
architecture is displayed in the reports header. The number of processors
was not properly calculated on machines where a directory named cpuidle
was present in the /sys/devices/system/cpu directory [Gentoo bug# 207886].
__CPU_SETSIZE definition from sched.h is used instead of a static
definition for the maximum number of CPUs (NR_CPUS). Error messages
displayed by sysstat's commands have been improved. NLS has been updated,
adding a Finnish translation.

[045] - Warsow 0.41
by hangy (http://freshmeat.net/users/Hangman5386/)
Sun, Feb 10th 2008 07:31
Games/Entertainment :: First Person Shooters
About: Warsow is a standalone, eSports-oriented FPS game. It is based on
Qfusion, an advanced modification of the Quake 2 engine. It features
fast-paced gameplay focused on trix (trick jumps) and art of movement.
War§ow features a complete power-up system, including weak and strong fire
mode for each weapon in all "normal" gametypes as well as Warshell (battle
shield) and Warshock (quad damage) for team-based gametypes. Its
cartoonish graphics use cel shading with a style that is similar but not
identical to Manga.
Changes: Some bugs were solved, and some minor improvements and additions
were made. The missing texture bug on wca1 was fixed. The rocket
projectile speed was fixed so that weak and strong are both 1000up/s. Some
fixes were made in the movement area (cg_oldmovement 1 should really feel
like old movement now). Some maps were added, specifically the two CTF
maps which were playtested in the Warsow pickup channel for a while. Some
missing settings were added in the graphics and options menus.

[047] - WIAK 2.3.0
by wiakapps (http://freshmeat.net/users/wiakapps/)
Sun, Feb 10th 2008 14:56
About: Wiak is a very efficient, special-purpose, usually non-interactive,
extremely lightweight IPC shell that is used for building client/server
"wiakapps". A variety of demonstration wiakapps are available as part of
the current WIAK suite. The name WIAK stands for the "WIAK Interface für
Application Kontrolle". As an inter-process communications utility, its
name reflects its ability to create and control diverse wiakapps whose
component parts may be written in a variety of programming languages and
with an assortment of GUI toolkits.
Changes: The SystemV message queue identification logic and the FIFO
naming logic have been modified in order to more logically generate unique
identifiers. The --up option code previously used for forking backend
server processes has been removed since an alternative internal mechanism
had rendered it redundant. A bug has been fixed in that alternative
mechanism that had prevented the forked process from receiving an argument
list. The provided demonstration applications have been modified to work
with these changes, and the documentation has been overhauled as a
consequence.

[048] - wiki2xhtml 3.2
by Granjow (http://freshmeat.net/users/Granjow/)
Sun, Feb 10th 2008 15:15
Internet :: WWW/HTTP :: Dynamic Content :: Wiki
Internet :: WWW/HTTP :: Site Management
About: wiki2xhtml can create complete Web pages and uses a clean XHTML
syntax. It can insert galleries, a menu, a footer, and nearly all elements
you know from the Wikipedia. The pages are formatted with CSS. All designs
can be adjusted by hand, and custom ones can be used as well. wiki2xhtml
generates the HTML pages from simple text files in the MediaWiki syntax.
You can also use own (X)HTML code or other script languages inside; there
are no restrictions. The GUI is composed of a Code Paste Window where you
can insert wiki code that will be generated live. A click into the result,
the XHTML code, copies it into the clipboard.
Changes: This version is multi-lingual. It supports split pages and
redirects, exports .sh and .bat scripts, and has an adjusted GUI. Some
parts have been rewritten (the comments system, lists, headings, and
tables) and now work better.
