About: The ActiveBPEL engine is a robust runtime environment capable of
executing process definitions created according to the Business Process
Execution Language for Web Services (BPEL4WS, or just BPEL) 1.1 and
WS-BPEL 2.0 specifications.

Changes: This represents the first release of an open-source
implementation of both BPEL4People and WS-Human Task. These specifications
allow human interactions to be included in services-based applications.

Information Management

About: AgileWiki is meant to create software systems which are fluid,
easily configured and can be reorganized on-the-fly to meet ever changing
requirements. It includes a COW-based database, the Rolonics programming
paradigm, and semantic inferencing.

Changes: Journals are now more readable and informative. Forking Rolons
(fast deep copies) no longer corrupts the Parents CSec.

About: AsmMgr is a file manager configured for assembly language
development. It can build Makefiles, build sample programs, select
installed assemblers, and manipulate project files. The operation is
similar to the classic "mc" file manager.

Changes: This release fixes a problem with file permissions that aborted
the program.

[008] - Blossoc 1.3.0

  Thu, Feb 14th 2008 13:50

Scientific/Engineering
Scientific/Engineering :: Bioinformatics
Scientific/Engineering :: Medical Science Apps.

About: Blossoc is a linkage disequilibrium association mapping tool that
attempts to build (perfect) genealogies for each site in the input, score
these according to non-random clustering of affected individuals, and
judge high-scoring areas as likely candidates for containing disease
affecting variation. Building the local genealogy trees is based on a
number of heuristics that are not guaranteed to build true trees, but have
the advantage over more sophisticated methods of being extremely fast.
Blossoc can therefore handle much larger data sets than more sophisticated
tools, but at the cost of sacrificing some accuracy.

Changes: This version is a port to the new SNPFile format version 2.0.

  Thu, Feb 14th 2008 07:10

Games/Entertainment :: Puzzle Games

About: Brikx is a small puzzle game in which your goal is to remove all
tiles from the table. You are held up by other tiles, gravity walls, and
other things, and you can even redesign the level while playing.

Changes: The configuration file is now stored in the user's home directory
instead of the game's data directory. The tile selection bug that occurred
on some systems in the options screen was fixed.

  Thu, Feb 14th 2008 02:46

Software Development :: Interpreters
Software Development :: Libraries

About: Ctalk provides object oriented programming features, like classes,
methods, operator overloading, and inheritance to otherwise standard C
programs. You can use only a few objects and classes in a program, or you
can write programs entirely in Ctalk. The package provides a translator
from Ctalk source code into C for compilation and a library that provides
run-time support for class objects. The preprocessor, ctpp, is also
available separately, and the package includes sample programs and
documentation.

Changes: This release adds improved handling of functions and methods that
have a variable number of arguments. It provides better support for
printf-style formats, and adds methods that format output for
WriteFileStream and String objects. It also adds minor improvements in
expression analysis and several bugfixes.

that aims to make it easier and quicker to perform common backup tasks
using DAR. It uses the GTK+ library, which is installed on most Linux
distributions, so usually the only additional dependency is DAR. DarGUI
aims to complement and enhance the command line features of DAR rather
than conceal them, and to help users to learn how DAR works so that they
can use it from the command line when necessary. It is written in Pascal

Scientific/Engineering
Scientific/Engineering :: Chemistry

About: GAMGI (General Atomistic Modelling Graphic Interface) is a program
to build, view, and analyze atomic strucures such as molecules, crystals,
glasses, liquids, etc. It aims to be useful for: the scientific community
working in Atomistic Modelling that needs a graphic interface to build
input data and to view and analyse output data, calculated with Ab-Initio
and Molecular Mechanics programs; the scientific community at large
studying chemistry, physics, materials science, geology, etc., that needs
a graphic interface to view and analyse atomic structural information and
to prepare images for presentations in classes and seminars; teaching
chemistry and physics in secondary schools and universities; science
promotion in schools, exhibitions and science museums.

Changes: All issues that generated warnings when compiling with the -O3
compiler flag were analysed, cleaned, and removed. This was tested on both
xf86 and xf86_64 architectures, with gcc 3.3.4 (Suse 10.0) and gcc 4.1.2
(Fedora 8), plus pointer_to_int and int_to_pointer conversions on non-32

annotation is not needed. In fact, there is no configuration needed at
all.

  by Thomas Mailund (http://freshmeat.net/users/mailund_birc/)
  Thu, Feb 14th 2008 13:48

Scientific/Engineering :: Bioinformatics
Scientific/Engineering :: Medical Science Apps.

About: SNPfile is a library and API for manipulating large SNP data sets
with associated meta-data, such as marker names, marker locations,
individuals' phenotypes, etc. in an I/O efficient binary file format. In
its core, SNPfile assumes very little about the metadata associated with
markers and individuals, but leaves this up to application program
protocols.

Changes: This version introduces a completely rewritten serialisation
framework for storing meta-data in the file format.

[045] - Spartns 1.0.0
  by J. Pellegrini (http://freshmeat.net/users/pellegrini/)
  Thu, Feb 14th 2008 07:16

Scientific/Engineering :: Mathematics
Software Development :: Libraries

About: Spartns is a sparse tensor representation library for Common Lisp.
Tensors are a generalization of vectors and matrices for any number of
dimension. Spartns is fast and flexible, allowing different dimensions to
be represented in different ways.

Changes: This release adds a device for fast repeated traversals of
tensors. It is now possible to pack tensors, releasing unused memory. The
compressed vectors now are automatically resized at runtime, so there is
not a hard limit for them anymore. In order to support more data types,
the equality test is now configurable. Some bugs were fixed, and the
documentation was extended.

[046] - Task Coach 0.69.1
  by Frank Niessink (http://freshmeat.net/users/fniessink/)
  Thu, Feb 14th 2008 13:58

Office/Business :: Scheduling

About: Task Coach is a simple todo manager to manage personal tasks and
todo lists. It grew out of a frustration that well-known task managers,
such as those provided with Outlook or Lotus Notes, do not provide
facilities for composite tasks. Often, tasks and other things to do
consist of several activities. Task Coach is designed to deal with
composite tasks.

Changes: This release solves one major and two minor bugs. The major bug
may cause data loss, so upgrading from 0.69.0 is recommended.
