freshmeat.net moves datacenters [DONE]
by Patrick Lenz (http://freshmeat.net/users/scoop/)
Section: freshmeat
Sun, Jun 1st 2008 00:00

This coming Sunday, June 1st at 07:00 UTC (view this time in your
timezone) freshmeat.net will move out of the current location on the west
coast into the brand new SourceForge, Inc. datacenter on the east coast.
The switch itself should be brief. Please allow a downtime of 1-2 hours
though should the data synchronization processes not proceed as smoothly as
planned and tested. While we will shortly drop the TTL (time to live) on
our nameservers, you may still experience that access to the freshmeat.net
domain routes you to the old datacenter, in which case we will redirect you
over to the new one with a slightly changed hostname your local nameservers
are unlikely to have cached. We are also moving onto brand new machines
that have been re-installed from scratch. If you experience any bugs or
oddities in site behavior after the switch, please don't hesitate to submit
a trouble ticket through our contact page. As always, please be as specific
as possible to ease reproduction of your problem and speed up the solution.
Thanks for your understanding and we'll see you on the other side.
Update: We've moved. Welcome to the new farm. Please bear with us while we
bring back the rest of the services. Update #2: We should be all set. As
mentioned above, if you run into a brick wall anywhere, please let us know.
Thank you for your patience.

Software Development :: Quality Assurance

About: JCR is a Web application for performing and managing formal code
reviews. Although it has some special logic for reviewing Java projects, it
can be used for reviews of any type of source code. JCR manages all stages
of the review process (initial project setup, individual review, joint
review meeting, post-review tidy-up), but it's mainly there to show diff
views of files that have changed and to allow comments to be made on any
line of any file marked for review.

Changes: This release candidate contains a number of functional
enhancements. The most important are improved generation of file diffs,
display of intra-line diffs in files, keyboard navigation support when

About: Nexenta Storage Appliance is designed and built to operate as a 2nd
tier storage alongside pre-existing commercial storage, providing online
continuation of data for months and years, with tapes relegated to archival
purposes only. The appliance is targeted for 2nd-tier NAS and iSCSI
applications requiring extremely low cost storage as well as dramatically
simplified provisioning, expansion, backup, replication, and archiving. It
can also be used as a primary NAS in businesses that wish to expand at
closer to commodity pricing. It supports unlimited snapshots, snapshot
mirroring (replication), and easy management of extremely large storage
pools.

Changes: NMCD may be used as a reliable SMF service. Dynamic volroot was
added to support mounting volumes at arbitrary mountpoints. A patch to
write throttle results in excessive delay was integrated. An IBM ServeRAID
SATA (IPS) driver was added. Additional interfaces were added for NMV,
namely lunsync and volume version. Many bugs were fixed.

[028] - phptelemeter 1.33
  by Jan De Luyck (http://freshmeat.net/users/jandeluyck/)
  Sun, Jun 1st 2008 18:53

About: phptelemeter is a script that can read the Web pages for the
Web-based "quota" monitor made available by ISPs. These pages can contain
both the actual status and the status since the last "reset", which happens
on a date set by the ISP. This is what makes up the used quota. It supports
Telenet, Dommel, Skynet, Scarlet, and EDPNet for Belgium and UPC for the
Czech Republic.

Changes: This release adds further red-highlighting in the text parser,
support for EDPNet as a Belgian ISP, and a new publisher for PNG graphbars.
New configuration parameters have been added to allow better integration in
3rd party tools, and code cleanup has been done to allow for further
expanding of phptelemeter. It also fixes the scarlet_web and telemeter_web
parsers, which were broken due to Web site updates.
