About: AgileWiki is meant to create software systems which are fluid,
easily configured and can be reorganized on-the-fly to meet ever changing
requirements. It includes a COW-based database, the Rolonics programming
paradigm, and semantic inferencing.
Changes: Entries have been added to the containers package. Requests to
rolons are now via action events. Browse now supports createArk and arks
commands.

[002] - amforth 2.9
by Matthias Trute (http://freshmeat.net/users/mtrute/)
Fri, Aug 1st 2008 12:54
Scientific/Engineering
Software Development :: Embedded Systems
System :: Hardware
About: amforth is a Forth distribution for the the AVR Atmega
microcontroller. Once put into flash, it needs only a serial connection to
the host computer to work interactivly. New words are compiled directly
into flash, thus extending the dictionary immediately. It provides most of
the ANS94 Forth Standard plus extensions. It is written in AVR standard
assembly language and Forth itself. The main development uses Atmega8 and
Atmega32 controllers; other Atmega controllers work with small adjustments.
Changes: This release adds a few essential standard words and code
contributed by users (e.g., finite state machines). All system variables
like heap are now forth VALUEs. A small number of bugs have been fixed.

[003] - arp-scan 1.7
by Roy Hills (http://freshmeat.net/users/royhills/)
Fri, Aug 1st 2008 19:55
Security
System :: Networking
About: arp-scan sends ARP (Address Resolution Protocol) queries to the
specified targets, and displays any responses that are received. It allows
any part of the outgoing ARP packets to be changed, allowing the behavior
of targets to non-standard ARP packets to be examined. The IP address and
hardware address of received packets are displayed, together with the
vendor details. These details are obtained from the IEEE OUI and IAB
listings, plus a few manual entries. It includes arp-fingerprint, which
allows a system to be fingerprinted based on how it responds to
non-standard ARP packets.
Changes: A new --pcapsavefile (-W) option to save the ARP response packets
to a pcap save file for later analysis. A new --vlan (-Q) option to create
outgoing ARP packets with an 802.1Q VLAN tag. A new --llc (-L) option to
create outgoing ARP packets with RFC 1042 LLC/SNAP framing. New ARP
fingerprints. IEEE OUI and IAB files have been updated.

[004] - Aspyct 1.0 RC1
by Antoine d'Otreppe (http://freshmeat.net/users/antoine_935/)
Fri, Aug 1st 2008 06:21
Software Development :: Libraries :: Python Modules
About: Aspyct is a Python module that implements AOP (aspect oriented
programming). A wide panel of join points is already available, controlling
execution, arguments, print, etc. You may also define your own. It is
possible to define simple advice (functions) as well as aspect classes.
Changes: The ability to create your own join points was added. The
restoreAll function was removed (use PointCut.restore instead). beforeInit,
atPrint, and beforeExec were renamed to atInit, beforePrint, and atExec for
consistency. A bug in beforePrint (previously atPrint) and afterPrint was
fixed. The PointCut class was added. The skip ability was added to the
atPrint join point, in order to skip blank lines written. The way Aspyct
stores original functions was changed to ensure an effective restore()
call. The afterPrint join point was modified. Now you may silence the
advised function with afterPrint(silenced=True).

[011] - deco archive file extractor 1.3.0.1
by P. Hartlich (http://freshmeat.net/users/phartlich/)
Fri, Aug 1st 2008 13:02
System :: Archiving
About: deco is a universal archive file extractor that has a consistent
command line interface ("deco 1.tar.bz2 2.zip 3.flac 4.rar 5.deb" will just
work) and consistent behavior (never deleting archives after extraction and
extracting relative to the current working directory, just verbosely
enough, all unless explicitly requested otherwise). It creates an
extraction directory if there is more than one file or directory at the
archive top level, and it is able to fix strange permissions. Dozens of
archive formats are supported out of the box, and the modular design makes
adding support for others very easy.
Changes: 42 lines of C code have been removed, and the source files are
divided less arbitrarily.

[034] - Patch Check Advanced 20080729-01 (Stable)

Fri, Aug 1st 2008 06:28
System :: Software Distribution Tools
System :: Systems Administration

fixed. Checks for an empty or corrupt patchdiag.xref file have been
enhanced. The default URL setting for pcaurl was changed. Apply checks were

[035] - phpLogCon 2.5.2 (Development)
by deltaray (http://freshmeat.net/users/deltaray/)
Fri, Aug 1st 2008 13:00
System :: Logging
System :: Monitoring
About: phpLogCon is a Web front-end for syslog and other network event
data. It provides easy browsing and some basic analysis. Data are taken
from databases or plain syslog text files, so phpLogCon does not require
changes to an existing logging infrastructure. Depending on the log data
present, it can process syslog messages, Windows event log entries, and
some more exotic things. Its troubleshooting support enables users to
quickly find solutions to problems seen in the log data.
Changes: General Options are now configurable on a user basis if UserDB
System is installed. This means that phpLogCon first uses the global
configuration options, then the user configuration, if available. When a
user adds new Sources, the source is checked with better error details. If
there's a database connection, the existence of the configured table is
checked. This release fixes a minor bug in the installer which was added in
2.5.0 and fixes spelling errors in the admin index template. Error messages
in the admin center contain more useful details now.

Database :: API
Office/Business :: Financial :: Investment
About: The trading shim is a command line interpreter with a DBMS backend
to the socket-based 'binary format' API of the Interactive Brokers' Trader

(intraday and EoD). It also allows clients to initiate and supervise trades
of securities, manage accounts, and more.

journaling features including IB ConID, product disambiguation, and very
robust reconnection logic, to permit recovery of management of orders after
an unintended disconnect.
