About: AKFAvatar is software where an image of an avatar appears on the
screen and tells things written in a balloon. First the avatar moves slowly
in from the right side, then text is shown in a balloon. The program
avatarsay can be used as a fancy terminal emulator, or as a fancy text
reader or man page viewer. Furthermore, the program supports some basic
commands, so it can be used as a scripting language for simple demos. You
can use the libakfavatar library from your own C programs. There is also a
rather mature Pascal binding for GNU Pascal and Free Pascal.
Changes: This release fixes several bugs and inconveniences and has some
optimizations. There are also some improvements in usability. In
particular, the menu and the file chooser are a little nicer now.

About: Crossroads is a daemon running in user space, and features
extensive configurability, polling of back ends using wake up calls, status
reporting, many algorithms to select the 'right' back end for a request
(and user-defined algorithms for very special cases), and much more.
Crossroads is service-independent: it is usable for any TCP service, such
as HTTP(S), SSH, SMTP, and database connections. In the case of HTTP
balancing, Crossroads can provide session stickiness for back end processes
that need sessions, but aren't session-aware of other back ends. Crossroads
can be run as a stand-alone daemon or via inetd.
Changes: This release introduces dispatch algorithms by client IP (hashed
or direct) and a flag to avoid "lingering" sockets. A portability issue for
64-bit Linux has been solved.

About: delsafe is a set of utilities to hopefully allow you to recover
recently deleted files. Basically, when you delete or in certain cases
overwrite a file the original file is moved into a trash can. It does this
by overriding the original unlink, rename, open, and fopen library calls
using the Linux LD_PRELOAD mechanism. Trash cans are placed on top of each
mount point and are accessible by each user directly or through links
placed in the user's home directory. This makes deletion very fast because,
in fact, it is only a renaming. To each filename in the trash can is
appended a time/version stamp.
Changes: This release handles the situation where the trash filename
exceeds 255 characters. Some minor bugs have been fixed.

About: Genetic Algorithm File Fitter (gaffitter) is a command-line tool
that uses a genetic algorithm to extract subsets of an input list of files
and directories that best fit a given volume size such as a CD or DVD. This
is used to find different combinations of the files on the list such that
lost space will be minimized.
Changes: This release features major changes. The genetic algorithm search
was completely rewritten, and now adopts a more suitable approach able to
perform better optimizations. Some options were modified/added in order to
improve GAFFitter as a filter, making integration with other tools easier
and more reliable. Python scripts were added, including scripts for ISO
9660 image creation and integration of GAFFitter with CD/DVD burning
applications (like K3B and Brasero).

About: yeaGTD is an acronym for "yaml encoded approach to getting things
done". It is a script which extracts information from simple text files,
one for each project, and then produces nicely formatted summary reports.
Flexible rules can be used to specify repeated projects. Context, project,
and date views are supported and output can be filtered in a variety of
ways. Output can optionally be printed or sent to standard output in
several formats. Commands are provided for marking tasks complete, opening
files for editing, and backing up project files.
Changes: This release is a complete redesign. The data file structure has
been simplified, and the focus has been changed from displaying tasks for
the current date to displaying active tasks for any selected date. The GUI
version now provides complete project support internally. The number of
active tasks on a given date determines the color of the date in the new
calendar display, and the status of the task determines the color of the
task for the day in the new Gantt chart display. Notes support log and time
entries, and reports can be generated that show times aggregated in user
specified ways.

About: The Zero Install Injector makes it possible for users to install
software easily and without the need for root privileges. It takes the URL
of a program's interface description and chooses suitable versions of the
program and all of its dependencies (also identified by URLs) according to
the user's policy settings (eg. "stable", "testing", "minimal network use",
etc). The chosen versions are downloaded and cached and the program is run,
using environment variables to let it find the components.
Changes: Support for multi-arch systems, which can run both 32- and 64-bit
binaries, was added. There is a workaround for a bug in xdg-desktop-menu
for programs with spaces in their names. Options have been added to specify
the OS and CPU type manually. The 0export command is provided to turn any
Zero Install application into a self-extracting bundle.

About: Zoidcom is a high level, UDP based game networking library for
C/C++. Applications register their gameobjects with Zoidcom, and Zoidcom
will manage when which object and which internal data of that object is
sent to whom. It uses bitstreams as a native datatype and thus is very
bandwidth efficient. Support for background file transfers, synchronization
of player movement with extrapolation and client side prediction, and many
other things are included.
Changes: This release slightly enhances the address class API. It fixes a
threading issue and some replicator problems, as well as a rare crash.
