About: check_websites is a very simple virus scanner for Web sites. It
checks a document root directory for files with the .js extension and for
codewords which might be a hint of defacement or SQL injection. This tool
is made to run as a cronjob. There's no output on the screen, but it
generates a logfile and mails output.
Changes: Apache logfiles are checked via a modified logwatch.
Phalanx2-rootkit is checked for. Minor bugs were fixed.

About: CreditCruncher is a program that uses the Monte Carlo method to
compute the credit risk of large portfolios in which assets are mortgages,
loans, bonds, endorsements, or the like (all of them of fixed income with a

About: Firewall Builder consists of a GUI and set of policy compilers for
various firewall platforms. It helps users maintain a database of objects
and allows policy editing using simple drag-and-drop operations. The GUI
and policy compilers are completely independent, which provides for a
consistent abstract model and the same GUI for different firewall
platforms. It currently supports iptables, ipfilter, ipfw, OpenBSD pf,
Cisco PIX and FWSM, and Cisco routers access lists.
Changes: This version introduces support for IPv6 for iptables, PF, and
Cisco IOS extended access lists. Users can generate both IPv4 and IPv6
policies using the same GUI and the same database of objects that represent
network addresses and services. Firewall objects can have any number of
policy and NAT rule sets, which can be used for branching rules or to
generate user-defined chains (iptables) or anchors (pf) that can be used by

ability to group rules in policies, as well as control the size of icons

About: GeoToad is a geocaching query tool to help speed up the boring part
of geocaching: choosing the cache and collecting the data. It allows you to
generate any kind of complex query you want, and the program will go and
poll the Geocaching query, grab the data, and output it to any format you
want. The Geocache info can be synced straight to your GPS, iPod, PDA, or
cell phone in over 20 different formats.
Changes: This release adds a new filter (cacheType). It has been synced
with the latest changes to the Geocaching.com website. Broken ampersand
munging for XML output types (GPX and KML) has been fixed, and there is
improved behaviour when run in disconnected mode.

About: LuaRocks is a deployment and management system for modules in the
Lua programming language. It aims to provide facilities for Lua such as
those from module systems of other scripting languages, such as Ruby's
RubyGems or Perl's CPAN. LuaRocks allows Lua modules to be installed as
self-contained packages called "rocks", which also contain version and
dependency information. This information is used at install time so that
when one rock is requested, all rocks it depends on are also installed.
It's also used at run time so that when a module is required, the correct
version is loaded.
Changes: This is the first major stable release, the result of over two
years of work. The .rock and .rockspec formats are now frozen for the 1.0.x
series. This release also features support for post-install hooks, helper

About: Manent is an algorithmically strong backup and archival program. It
features efficient backup to anything that looks like storage. Currently it
supports plain filesystems ("directories"), FTP, and SFTP. Planned are
Amazon S3, optical disks, and email (SMTP and IMAP). It can work (making
progress towards finishing a backup) over a slow and unreliable network. It
can offer online access to the contents of the backup. Backed up storage is
completely encrypted. Backup is incremental, including changed parts of
large files. Moved, renamed, and duplicate files will not require
additional storage. Several computers can use the same storage for backup,
automatically sharing data. Both very large and very small files are
supported efficiently. Manent does not rely on timestamps of the remote
system to detect changes.
Changes: Some container files have been created with uppercase letters in
container indices. See the manent homepage for instructions for dealing
with it. The block cache was found to be too aggressive, causing excessive
storage use in Manent's database. This version fixes that, but please visit
the homepage for more info. There are more fixes to Unicode name handling
under Linux (filenames that were not decodable under the current locale
caused Manent to panic).

About: MIMEDefang is a flexible MIME email scanner designed to do all
kinds of email processing, including anti-virus scanning, anti-spam
scanning, replacing parts of messages with URLs, adding boilerplate
disclaimers, and so on. It can alter or delete various parts of a MIME
message according to a Perl-based policy filter. It can also bounce
messages with unacceptable attachments and modify SMTP response codes on
the fly. It works with the Sendmail 8.11 and newer "Milter" API, which
makes it more flexible and efficient than procmail-based approaches.
Changes: A bug in the initialization of the embedded Perl interpreter was
fixed. This bug caused problems on the Debian HPPA architecture and
possibly other architectures.

About: MyJgui is a GUI (graphical user interface) for MySQL. It aims to be
easy to use for new users as well as experts. You can store multiple
connections that can be used simultaneously. Stored passwords are encrypted
using symmetric encryption. Underlying databases and tables are displayed
in a tree structure with the connections being the first level nodes.
MyJgui is capable of easy data manipulation through a grid. It has a unique
feature of bookmarking parametrical queries (sqlmarks). The documentation
(user guide) is quite comprehensive and kept up-to-date.
Changes: This release includes a universal installer written in Java to
install/update/remove MyJgui. A problem with displaying zero time

About: NoMachine NX is a fast terminal server and desktop virtualization
system based on the X11 protocol. NX is an order of magnitude faster than
VNC or X11 and can run on bandwidth as narrow as 10 kBit/sec. In addition,
NX translates and embeds the MS Windows Terminal Server and VNC protocols
into X/NX, enabling users to compress and accelerate remote Windows and VNC
sessions. The NX project provides a suite of libraries and X11 proxying
agents implementing efficient compression and optimized transport of X11,
SMB, IPP, HTTP, and arbitrary protocols like audio and video over the
Internet.
Changes: A number of minor issues were fixed, such as the NX server trying
to set the password for the guest account even when the account has not
been created. Problems on Solaris when language settings are in the utf8

About: NTFS-3G is a stable read/write NTFS driver. It is available for
over 170 Linux distributions and the default read/write NTFS driver for
most major ones. It has been ported to many other operating systems like

and MMU-less computer architectures.

About: Recoll is a personal full text desktop search tool based on Xapian.
It provides an easy to use, feature-rich, easy administration interface
with a Qt-based GUI. Text, HTML, PDF, PostScript, MS Word, OpenOffice,
Wordperfect, KWord, Abiword, maildir, and mailbox mail folder formats are
supported, along with their compressed versions. Powerful query facilities
are provided. Multiple character sets are supported, and internal
processing and storage uses Unicode UTF-8. Stemming is performed at query
time and the stemming language can be switched after indexing.
Changes: This release brings OpenXML filters (for formats such as docx)
and improved identification of email attachments. A few bugs were fixed: a
rare problem in processing Thunderbird mailbox files, an indexer crash on
extremely long file names (longer than 240), and incorrect preview
highlighting for Near/Phrase searches.

submit bug reports with one click. Additional applets can be downloaded. It
includes the rwdtinker framework, and should not require any other
downloads. It only requires that Ruby be installed, and should work on all
platforms.
Changes: This version has been updated for rwdtinker 1.73. It includes
more debugging information in initiateapplet and corrects GUI building
error recovery. Additional cleanup is done for live applet addition and
removal. After removing an applet, focus returns to the proper tab. Error
messages are reduced unless $DEBUG is set to true.

About: Seed7 is a general purpose programming language. It is a higher
level language compared to Ada, C++, and Java. In Seed7, new statements and
operators can be declared easily. Functions with type results and type
parameters are more elegant than a template or generics concept. Object
orientation is used when it brings advantages and not in places when other
solutions are more obvious. Although Seed7 contains several concepts of
other programming languages, it is generally not considered as a direct
descendant of any other programming language.
Changes: The FAQ about development speed and type checking was improved.
Several chapters in the manual were improved. The functions rflTail and
rflRange were improved to raise MEMORY_ERROR instead of RANGE_ERROR. The
'conv' operator was improved to convert between numeric types. The function
getSymbolWithHtmlEntities and the 'conj' operator were added. Changes were
made to support compilation when DO_HEAP_STATISTIC is defined. The file
src/read_me.txt was improved. Various 'reference' functions were improved

About: wiki2xhtml can create complete Web pages and uses a clean XHTML
syntax. It can insert galleries, a menu, a footer, and nearly all elements
you know from the Wikipedia. The pages are formatted with CSS. All designs
can be adjusted by hand, and custom ones can be used as well. wiki2xhtml
generates the HTML pages from simple text files in the MediaWiki syntax.
You can also use own (X)HTML code or other script languages inside; there
are no restrictions. The GUI is composed of a Code Paste Window where you
can insert wiki code that will be generated live. A click into the result,
the XHTML code, copies it into the clipboard.
Changes: The code has been cleaned up and rewritten, wiki2xhtml now works
more reliably. The menu system has slightly changed. Basic templates are
supported.
