Internet :: WWW/HTTP :: Dynamic Content :: CGI Tools/Libraries
Office/Business :: Scheduling
Software Development :: Libraries :: PHP Classes

About: Active Calendar is a PHP class that generates calendars (month or
year view) as HTML tables (XHTML-Valid). It can produce static calendars
without any links or calendars with navigation controls, a date picker
control, event days and content with event URLs, and linkable days
(optionally URL or Javascript). The layout can be configured using CSS,
and JavaScript is not required. The supported dates (on systems using a
32-bit signed integer Unix time_t) are: 1902-2037 (Unix) and 1971-2037
(Windows), when using the default PHP native date functions, and 100-3000
and later, when using the ADOdb Date Library.

Changes: A bug that prevented the generation of multiple event contents
with the same content URL on the same date was fixed.

[003] - adesklets 0.4.0
  by S.Fourmanoit (http://freshmeat.net/users/syfou2/)
  Fri, Feb 25th 2005 06:14

Desktop Environment :: Tools
Multimedia :: Graphics

About: adesklets is an interactive Imlib2 console for the X Window system.
 It provides to scripted languages a clean and simple way to write great
looking, mildly interactive desktop integrated graphic applets (aka
"desklets"). It can also be used as a command line oriented graphics
editor, a bit similar to ImageMagick, but with different functionality.

Changes: The interpreter now supports internationalization; it can
dynamically work with different charsets on platforms supporting iconv (as
standardized in UNIX98) and display them in the right fashion. The Python
package has been extended to include an (optional) generic configuration
class, hopefully useful to desklets authors.

Security

About: AntiVirus Scanner is an anti-virus scanner for Endeavour Mark II
that uses the ClamAV library (libclamav). It allows you to create a list
of scan items for frequently scanned locations and features easy virus
database updating, all in a simple GUI environment.

Changes: Database changes during scanning are now detected - the database
will be reloaded if it changes during a scan of a directory. The ClamAV
scan options were set to ClamAV recommended defaults. An issue with the
Drag and Drop "drag_begin" signal was fixed.

About: bibEC Process Card is a class that processes credit card payments
via one of the multiple supported payment gateways. Currently, these
include Plug and Pay, Authorize.net, and ViaKlix. Changing between payment
gateways is mostly a matter of changing the class constructor parameter. It
provides a payment gateway independent API with functions for logging the

Software Development :: Libraries

About: ccaudio2 is a simple, highly portable, stand-alone, C++-based
framework for manipulation of audio data. Its goal is to be a C++
framework that is as useful as "audiofile" or "sndfile" is for C
programming, and to cover various generic and useful manipulations of
audio data as well as audio file access. A stand-alone audio processing
command line tool is also provided to demonstrate library functionality.
ccaudio2 compiles under Mac OS X, POSIX systems, and Win32 systems.

Changes: This release features a new GSM plugin codec to support gsm
audio. New encoder to encoder stream conversion functions were added for
automatically transcoding audio from one encoded form to another. with
smart buffering optimizations and direct frame transfer when converting
to same frame type. There is better support for audio file extensions
and extension to encoder mapping, and the use of timestamp based file
positioning. There is also complete class documentation.

Software Development :: Libraries
Text Processing :: Markup :: XML

About: Mini-XML is a small XML parsing library that you can use to read
XML and XML-like data files in your application without requiring large
non-standard libraries. It only requires an ANSI C compatible compiler
(GCC works, as do most vendors' ANSI C compilers) and a "make" program. It
supports reading of UTF-8 and UTF-16 and writing of UTF-8 encoded XML
strings and files, and provides a hierarchical view of the file via a
linked-list tree structure of typed nodes and functions for managing,
traversing, indexing, and searching the tree.

Changes: This release added support for CDATA elements and shared

[038] - Nodezilla 0.4.5
  by plop (http://freshmeat.net/users/smkaribou/)
  Fri, Feb 25th 2005 03:38

Communications :: File Sharing
Internet

About: Nodezilla is a secured, distributed, and fault tolerant routing
system (or grid network) that supports distributed services such as file
sharing, chat, efficient video multicast streaming, and secured file
storage. It provides cache features where any server may create a local
replica of any data object. These local replicas provide faster access
and robustness to network partitions, and reduce network congestion by
localizing access traffic. To ensure data protection, redundancy and
cryptographic techniques are used.

Changes: Third parties libraries were updated to the current versions,
and some random crashes fixed. The Out Of Band system for boostrapping a
node has been made more flexible. The new authentication system
introduced in the previous release is now active; as a consequence, all
nodes previous to 0.4.4 will not be able to talk to new nodes. All keys
are now enforced to 4096 bits, nodes with smaller keys will
automatically regenerate new one. The PING task is now a separate thread,
greatly reducing latency. Some tweakings were made in order to improve the
cache.

Internet :: WWW/HTTP :: HTTP Servers

About: 'NTLM Authorization Proxy Server' (APS) is a proxy software that
allows you to authenticate via an MS Proxy Server using the proprietary
NTLM protocol. APS has the ability to behave as a standalone proxy server
and authenticate HTTP clients at Web servers using the NTLM protocol. It
can change arbitrary values in your client's request headers so that those
requests will look like they were created by MS IE. It is written in Python
1.5.2.

Changes: This release adds several major enhancements. These include a
new default User-Agent string to imitate IE6 on WinXP, support for
authenticating to a list of Intranet hosts at the same time as doing
upstream proxying, support for '#' character in passwords, support for
hostnames in the FRIENDLY_IPS list, the addition of files to help
downstream packagers for Win32 and RPM-based systems, and more bugfixes

About: OpenGUI is a high-level multi-platform, thread-safe C/C++ windowing
and graphics library built upon a fast, low-level graphics kernel. It
provides 2D drawing primitives and an event-driven windowing API for easy
application development. The benefit of this library is speed, power, and
a well-designed API with a narrow learning curve. It supports the BMP,
JPG, TGA, PNG, TIFF, and PCX image file formats, color gradients, and TTF
fonts. There is also basic XML file support and a smart persistence
wrapper. OpenGUI supports the keyboard and mouse as event sources, the
Linux framebuffer, SVGAlib, and XFree86/DGA2 (HW accelerated) as drawing
backends, Mesa3D under Linux, and 8, 15, 16, and 32-bpp color modes.
