Upgrade success this morning: FC3 > FC4 on a Dell Latitude D600.

I debated whether or not to install fresh.  I chose to go with the
upgrade option since I have put a fair amount of work getting wireless,
S3 suspend and bluetooth working the way I wanted to on this laptop.
Backed up, launched upgrade. It took somewhere in the area of 50 minutes
to complete. No errors or difficulties were apparent during the
installation.

I booted with the new kernel it installed (I updated the existing GRUB,
did NOT overwrite/replace) and saw quite a few cryptic error messages. I
will look into the error messages later.  However, it launched right
into GNOME 2.10 desktop. The boot time seemed much improved but I didn't
put a watch to it so it may be perception only.  I played around for a
bit but then rebooted with the custom kernel I had been using prior to
the upgrade. The shipping kernel is named 2.6.11-1.i369_FC4, and my
current custom kernel is based off of 2.6.11.7 so they probably aren't
significantly different for my purposes. After rebooting with the custom
kernel, wonder of wonders, my wireless card (IPW2200) still worked and
suspend to RAM still functioned as well. I did not expect either of
those to survive the upgrade.  Radeon screen blanking (radeontool) seems
to be a bit buggy but it should be an easy fix.

I then ran yum (much more informative than FC3 version) to do an update
of packages not included on the DVD. The mono repo I was using borked so
I disabled it, but every other repository seemed fine and it does not
matter because I have not been able to get any of the mono apps I want
to use working anyway. In summary, this was a painless upgrade.
