Still, the library should not fail like that though. I had the same 
experience and had the same bad taste in my mouth afterwards. A bad 
(or filthy) disk should not cause applications to crash.

You might want to send your detailed report to the developers, it might 
make a difference if more people report this kind of problem. I bet most 
people won't even know it's the library causing it...
