Moving to FC4

Hi, I moved from FC3 to FC4 a month ago and my impression since then
is that is really hard to find rpm packages of many applications.
I remember that for FC3 in the first week after the release I was able to
find everything I needed... now with FC4 many packets are still missing.
For example avidemux2 in the DAG repository isn't built and amule from
freshrpms repository isn't working. I can't remember what else I really miss
right now but the whole feeling I'm getting is that people is not moving
to FC4... what is going on? am I wrong? did I miss something?
is it related to gcc4?
