Your disk doesn't happen to be full or something silly like that ? I'm not sure how lftp is handling that but it would explain why it removes the old incomplete (or empty) file and then 'tries' to get a new one. I would recommend using rsync, however if your disk is not full, we have to debug this situation. For this I added a new configuration option, can you use the latest subversion version and add: [main] lftp-options = -d This should give you more debugging information from lftp.
