Hallo,
I just subscribed to this list to report a problem, I looked in the
list archives but nobody has done it before. I'm using FC4 x86_64 with
kernel 2.6.14-1.1656_FC4.
I recentely updated perl-Video-DVDRip (dvd::rip) from version 0.52.6
(which was working flawlessly) to 0.97.6 through yum. Since it is the
new gtk2 branch, yum also downloaded some perl-* packages from both
freshrpms and extras. I also installed lsdvd and xvid4conf from freshrpms.
The first time I started it, dvd::rip opened, but it had strange
behaviours (trying to rip negative frames, for example). After this,
everytime I try to start, it just segfaults:
tcmodinfo[25344]: segfault at 0000000000000000 rip 0000003f156dc5ef rsp
00007fffffc9d400 error 4
dvdrip[25307]: segfault at 00000000ae29cfac rip 0000003c510a014b rsp
00007fffffea7f70 error 6

I tried to reinstall it, and deleted the .dvdrip folder, but without
success.
I also tried to launch it through ggdb dvdrip

This GDB was configured as
"x86_64-redhat-linux-gnu"..."/usr/bin/dvdrip": not in executable format:
File format not recognizeddb, but it seems to don't support perl scripts:

At this point, I don't know what else I can try. Any help is welcome, if
you need additional informations just ask.

Thanks,
Dario
