ffmpeg incompatibility

I'm surprised I haven't seen anything mentioned before, but it appears 
packages build against livna's 
ffmpeg-0.4.9-0.lvn.0.20.20051228.4.i386.rpm are incompatible with 
freshrpms' ffmpeg-0.4.9-0.3.20051207.2.fc4.

AFAICT, livna's is really newer, and provides different solibs,
libavcodec.so.51
libavformat.so.50
but by rpmcompver freshrpms' package is newer, and provides (unversioned):
libavutil.so
(which livna's pkg doesn't provide).
