Hello thank you for such a fast answer. Well, now that's weird. I have the latest version of mplayer installed, but I keep getting these errors: Playing dts_diatonis_io_afos.dts. Audio file file format detected. ========================================================================== Opening audio decoder: [ffmpeg] FFmpeg/libavcodec audio decoders Cannot find codec 'dts' in libavcodec... ADecoder init failed :( ADecoder init failed :( Opening audio decoder: [hwac3] AC3/DTS pass-through S/PDIF I can play the file just fine using aplay with aplay -Dspdif dts_diatonis_io_afos.dts Note that I do not want mplayer to decode the file, but to do passthrough to the S/PDIF interface Could there be any packages that I'm missing?
