Can't boot the live CD

Hi everyone, My machine is AlphaPC 164 LX. I burn the following image : gentoo-alpha-1.4rc1-test4.iso.bz2 <http://gentoo.linux.no/releases/1.4_rc1/alpha/gentoo-alpha-1.4rc1-test4.iso.bz2> and don't want to boot from SRM (v5.8-1). I also try to add the aboot boot sector myself to the iso file using the following command >isomarkboot filesystem bootlx But it doesn't work either. When I try with my SCSI cd-rom, I get this error : ------ block size is not 512 bytes for dkb400.4.0.106.0 failed to open dkb400.4.0.106.0 ------- Or with my IDE DVD drive, I get this error : ------ failed to open dqa1.1.0.11.0 ------ When I tried to install RedHat 7.2 on my computer I had to boot from floppy (because CD booting didn't work) Thanks in advance for any help.
