how-to? aboot/SRM

I have tried reading the docs on aboot, and they left me very confused.  I
am not very familiar with alphas, but I want to install gentoo on a DP264
system I have.

I don't understand how to use and in what order to use "aboot.conf"
"swriteboot".

I just compiled my kernel with:
make dep && make clean boot vmlinux modules modules_install

I have emerged aboot.

I installed the system on dkc0.0.0.9.0.  I think that is how SRM sees the
drive.  Linux sees the partitions as 
  /dev/sda1  /boot  ext2  (BSD Label=a: sectors 3-103)
  /dev/sda2  swap   swap  (BSD Label=b: sectors 104-2104)
  /dev/sda3  /      ext2  (BSD Label=c: sectors 2105-8683)

I am trying to use alpha-sources 2.4.20-r2.   The system is a 264DP (dual
processor EV6).  It has SRM v5.9-4.

So what do I do now?
