I upgraded my kernel to 2.6.12-rc2 (vanilla-sources). Then I let it run 
for a couple days to see if it ran OK. And the last time I rebooted 
(prior to this time) was about 4 days ago when I went into my AlphaBIOS 
to make the new kernel the default boot option.

Are there any commands I should know about that would help me to recover 
the filesystem? Because from the MILO prompt, if I do 'ls /dev/sdb5:/', 
all I get are the current (.), parent (..) and 'lost+found' directories 
(meaning, it looks as if the drive is completely empty, as if it had 
just been reformatted).
