What filesystem are you using?

I had a similar mishap with a reiserfs system loosing all the data on 
2x30 GB disks. (both full to about 85%)
It turned out to be a trashed journal that could (to some extent) be salvaged 
via rescueattempts using the ordinary reiserfs tools.
