Alpha port status

Hi I'm new to this list, but not new to Gentoo and Linux. I got my hands on a Miata Personal Workstation 500a, and started putting Gentoo on it, of course. It's suppose to replace my x86 server. My parents need a new computer :-) Most things compile, even a lot of those marked 'masked'. But when will there be a official release of Gentoo/Alpha ?? And how many is working on it ?
