i've got an idea.... one that many may opppose, but that if done correctly, would work great! You should make #gentoo-gli invite only. Provide an application form on the site that would allow users to enter in their information, and why they should get access to the channel, and if they were ok, they would be allowed in. I know this is a drastic solution, but the results could be awsome!
