I have been hearing about problems and seeing them in other places as
well. Very likely could be part of your problem, if not all of it.

Correct, all Sun jdks other than 1.5 are fine. Both 1.6.0.x and 1.7
which is openjdk are fine.

I would recommend doing so. 6 does have it's own problems with javadocs.
Another known issue, so pick your evil. IMHO I would prefer borked
javadocs to a borked gc.
