Re: cdrecord will not find generic scsi

Yes, I have SCSI support as a modules.  Along with SCSI CD, SCSI Generic and
IDE-SCSI emulation.  I load the modules manually:

# modprobe ide-scsi
# modprobe sg
# modprobe sr_mod

And I still get the message with cdrecord.

# cdrecord -scanbus
Cdrecord 1.11a30 (i686-pc-linux-gnu) Copyright (C) 1995-2002 Jörg Schilling
cdrecord: No such file or directory. Cannot open '/dev/pg*'. Cannot open
SCSI driver.
cdrecord: For possible targets try 'cdrecord -scanbus'. Make sure you are
root.

And I was root ;)

have you generic scsi support compiled either in your kernel or as
module, that is required for get a ide cd writer working - it always get
me!
