Re: 1.4RC1 & PCMCIA

To use the pcmcia-cs package, you have to turn pcmcia support off in the
kernal completely... I don't know if it says that in the dox (short on
time here), but that's what you need to do.  Option two would be to use
the kernal pcmcia support as well.

nb. I am also using a pcmcia network card, and while I was able to
successfully get it going in Gentoo 1.too, (once with the kernal drivers,
and this time with the pcmcia-cs drivers) the last couple of pcmcia-cs
packages have not compiled fully ('too many arguements' was one error, the
latest is it complaining about not finding the source tree was the most
recent), so if you can't emerge the pcmcia-cs package, maybe try an
earlier one.  One might try just modprobeing Tulip and see if that wakes
up the network card long enough to complete the install..
