Need Help.

Completed the "Gentoo Linux 1.4 Installation Instructions" and everything
seem to check out OK.
Started working my way through the "Gentoo Linux Desktop Configuration
Guide......not OK.

use="cups" emerge kde

30 hours after I pressed Enter, I got my cursor back (and they say I'm not a
patient person).

Have several nice naps!

After running xf86config(a few times) when I enter:

startx

I get:

bash: startx: command not found

What do I do now?
