I am having a strange issue after installing Gentoo on my laptop. I have
already built a desktop Gentoo box and am very happy with it. I have
successfully made it through the Gentoo build/installation process from
a stage 1 tarball and when i go to boot for the first time it just hangs
at "starting local". I do not have anything defined to start in the
local file, and all files in /etc look correct. My kernel is
gentoo-sources with no usb, no IR, no SCSI, no parallel port support, no
firewire,... very minimal. The only things I did select that aren't on
my desktop are Dell Laptop Support and APM. This is a new Dell Latitude
C610 that I am attempting to boot. Thanks in advance for any
suggestions.
