if you have already a linux distro on your system you can follow the alternative
installation guide, combined withe the 'normal' install guide you can easily install it.
basically you have to:
- prepare partitions
- untar the tbz2 on the live cd
- chroot into that environment

if you read all the docs and think about it a bit it should be doable
