partitioning

I have two hdd, a 20gb and a 120gb.  Since windows takes up all of the
20gb, I wand to take half the 120gb and put gentoo on it.  I went to
partition the drive but, it just had the 20gb hdd.  Is there a way to
get cfdisk to show my big hdd?  Was it just that gentoo didn't locate
them?  Or is it a cfdisk problem?  Thanks.
