My Realtek card uses the same drivers as the NE2000 cards. Anyway... ummm... I've decided that the DHCP kernel panic problem is something I can work around by being veeeery careful... but I still can't figure out why DHCP doesn't grab an IP addy at all, regardless of whether it crashes or not. Has anyone had experience of setting up a network interface on a cable connection?!? (specifically shaw.ca) I've never had DHCP problems before on cable. poo. I really wanna try out Gentoo.
