ALSA OSS kernel oops

Hi,

Under both the 2.6.9 and 2.6.10 series I am getting kernel oops when
playing sounds.  It seems that the problem occurs when sounds are
played simultaneously but I am not quite sure.  Everything is peachy
with 2.6.8 kernels and below.  The oops look like this:

I have seen a couple of posts signalling similar issues
(http://lists.debian.org/debian-powerpc/2004/11/msg00644.html and
http://lists.debian.org/debian-powerpc/2004/12/msg00072.html) but I
cannot seem to find a solution. Pointers are really appreciated.
