Yes, the kernel dump from core 1 shows the GPU driver failing, but this 
output is from a rare occasion when the system had managed to launch 
SDDM.  I was able to login to a desktop and examine dmesg, whereupon I 
noticed the output from core 1.  I can only assume some other processes 
on a different core were able to load AMDGPU and launch SDDM.

When the 6.18.15 kernel fails completely which is almost every time I 
tried it, I am stuck on VT1 with no keyboard response, other than 
Ctrl+Alt+Del which allows me to reboot.

I thought AMDGPU is stable code for many years, or at least it has been
