Indeed, so it will remain one of life's not-so-little mysteries tnen. The 
beast is sitting on the floor, boxed once and awaiting the outer box in the 
morning, ready for the courier to take it back to its maker (as it were). I 
have a more promising system in the works to replace it.

The sooner the damned thing's gone, the sooner I'll be able to get a decent 
night's sleep again. I've wasted considerable funds and immeasurable nervous 
energy on this project, and I'll be pleased to see an end to it.
