This really is something where MediaWiki could try to have a feature of
some sort, be it condensing three revisions that are commit, undo,
commit with a new message, or offering a UI to either change a commit
message, or to request such a change. Maybe something like that
exists. It really is an issue, and I wish I could say I've never had the
"I accidentally hit return" problem...

Ok, I'd list that as a disadvantage of using the Gentoo Wiki for
documentation, then.
