Given the unmaintained package and new versions dropping support, I would kindly suggest moving data off that format or finding a maintained tool capable of reading it :)

These are the logs missing below, I think.

Can you boot your previous kernel, and if so, does it work as expected? Could be an issue with NTFS.

The Gentoo wiki for NTFS says you can use either the builtin kernel support or the FUSE driver (NTFS-3G), which is what I think I see here.

Beyond that, I would try « mount -t ntfs{3,-3g} » manually and see if either the native driver or the FUSE driver work? Might get some more info out of that. 

The wiki also suggests app-crypt/dm-crypt can handle TrueCrypt volumes.
