I have CONFIG_NTFS3_FS=y in my kernel, and I am able to mount (unencrypted) 
USB sticks formatted with NTFS.  These were formatted with NTFS on a Win11 OS 
and can be mounted and accessed rw both on Linux and on Windows OSs.

I'm currently on sys-apps/util-linux-2.42.2 and the gentoo-sources-6.18.41 
kernel.

Please note, I do not use truecrypt or veracrypt and don't know if these 
applications require sys-fs/ntfs3g running under FUSE as opposed to the NTFS3 
kernel driver.
