Dell - Internal Use - Confidential
Hi
Please run the ftp://ftp.dell.com/FOLDER02797462M/1/BIOS_MKCTM_LN_2.5.2.BIN update package on CentOS and share the support logs from “/var/log/dell/updatepackage/log/support/” directory to analyze the BIOS update failure.
The workaround for sasdupie issue is use the update package from path ftp://ftp.dell.com/FOLDER02124693M/1/firmware_0t97t_ln_1.05_a00.bin to update the MD1200 firmware.
Thanks
Santosh

Hi DELL,
Any news fixing this issue? I've tried DSU BIOS update on R620 (Centos7) and it failed with the same error
Not enough contiguous physical memory and sasdupie
Is there at least some workaround to get it do the update?
(and BTW linux .BIN file also fails with same error)

I find that quite interesting that so many people have reported issues on this list with dsu and all we got was a deep silence from Dell.
Without a support contrat, wouldn't there be a bugzilla where to file some bug reports?
Come on Dell, even RedHat's bugzilla lets you file a bug against RHEL without a support contrat.

Just abandon the silly DSU crap. Boot the firmware update CD off the iDRAC and do it that way.
Dell’s OS tools are of lousy quality so just ignore them. Mercifully the update ROM does work.
Also check what you have set for vm.overcommit_memory in sysctl.
