X-host is not the best solution because of the ability
to fake that from somewhere else.  

I recommend "ssh -l root localhost"
Set yous sshd_config to accept forwarded X connections
(and only allow protocol 2) and then you can run any
application root could run.

Its a good habit to get into, and wit works from anywhere
