Hold on here....

If your XP that came with your machine is like my Xp
you will not be successful booting a virtual machine with the
CDs supplied.  

This is because Sony sends those windows recovery CDs which 
expect to be running on exactly the hardware they were sent out with
and that is not what a VM is.  It appears to the guest os as a 
different sound card, a different video card and a smaller disk and 
a whole host of other differences.

The best bet is to beg borrow buy or steal a real Windows XP
CD and then install using YOYR KEY from the label on the
bottom of the computer.
