I test installed 8.2 on my GR390, and I'm still getting the same bit with ACPI that always would happen: The Power Applet in KDE insists that ACPI is not installed or configured properly... Please note that I only did a test install. I have not gone much further than that, so it may just be an issue of insuring acpid is up and running...
