On SuSE 8.2 a 'copy' of the current kernel's configuration is kept in 
/proc/config.gz. Having this file this is in itself a kernel 
configuration option. In other words: your running kernel might be 
configured to create this /proc/config.gz, in which case you could use 
that for starters to build your own kernel. Or else maybe someone else 
on the list who has a similar setup could help you.
