Search for erratic touchpad or touchpad related problems in the group. I asked this question quite a while ago and received an answer regarding one of the programs that loads in order to provide pointing device support -- which at least on my system is the second such program that does that so I just disabled it. It was what was causing my problems, once I disabled it it went away. One other item.. Sony touchpads (at least mine) are EXTREMELY sensitive to moisture in the air. If you blow on mine, it'll move. If you use it in a moist environment it won't always behave.. correctly. BAD MOUSE BAD *wiggles cursor*!
