Re: Hotplug Device assignment inconsistant

I've noticed that if you use the same exact piece of hardware, it will
always be the same exact device (e.g. /dev/sda1).  However, if you have
several piece of hardware that use scsi-emulation, each of them will be
a different device.  The order in which you introduce them to the system
determines the device name.  I would think that the
/etc/sysconfig/hwconf file would make that work correctly, but it
doesn't seem to use that information to determine the device name.  I
suppose that it is a work in progress...
