I can't remember if that XRender mod included or not, but I know the
i830 is in there/

I just installed crossover on an i840 (I think it was 840, if not it was 830)
and installed a bunch of MS fonts as appear in the crossover 
install panel.  Works great, and I proceeded to install Office 2000
and it looks fine.
