Hello Jason, I got my GRS614MP two weeks ago and so far the service has been fine. I needed to get an AV lead to connect to a TV and the support guy at Sony was helpful. I got my lead 4 days later with a t-shirt and a pair of sunglasses, which I wasn't expecting. Now I just want them to provide a BIOS update that will allow me to access some of the useful BIOS settings, and provide out of the box support for Linux :) Neil -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Jason Cox Sent: 03 July 2003 13:46 To: [email protected] Subject: [Linux-sony] OT: Service from Sony Just curious as to the type of service people have received from Sony regarding their purchases? I've recently purchased a Vaio Z1GP and with my Vaio I received a "Join Club Vaio" card which offered me, amongst other things, a "Welcome Pack", which included a Vaio T-Shirt, a Vaio Mouse Mat and a Vaio Stainless Steel Business Card Holder. It's been almost 3 months since I purchased my laptop, and 3 telephone calls and two unanswered emails later, I have still not received this "pack". Some of you may be saying it's really petty complaining about something like this however, they've offered me something, and I expect to receive it. What are your thoughts/experiences? Jason. _______________________________________________ Linux-sony mailing list: [email protected] Subscribe/Unsubscribe: http://returntonature.com/mailman/listinfo/linux-sony Linux-Sony Documentation: http://returntonature.com/linux/phpwiki
