Oh comeon Jack, Even Sony does not advertise 8 hours.  
What is this super size battery? the cigarette ligher receptical on
your SUV?  

Anyone offering an 8 hour battery would corner the market in
todays world.  Sony's estimate of battery life on my grx570 is
2.5 hours minimum.  It never did that brand new while sitting
unused just ideling in Win-XP.
