AFAIK, all Sony laptops have a double name. My laptop is a
PCG-GR214EP(FR), and the back (and internal EEPROM) says PCG-884M. I
don't know exactly what this is supposed to mean. Thanks to some people
who helped me as I was working on decodind Vaio's internal EEPROMs, I
know the following matches:

PCG-GRX316G(FR) <-> PCG-8A6M
PCG-GRX570(UC)  <-> PCG-8A2L
PCG-GR114EK(DE) <-> PCG-873M
PCG-GR114SK(GB) <-> PCG-871M

Here is the comment I formulated when I was working on it: "The model
name, without the PCG- prefix. I can't say why there is a model name
that differs from the machine name. Curiously, all models begin with the
digit 8, and end with either the letter L or the letter M." Well, I will
update this since your one has 9 as the first digit. I don't know what
it is supposed to mean, nor if there is any logic behind that.
