Hello,

This is a bit OT, but is there a better place to ask? I'm sure not ;)

My father just took his notebook from a backpack, and realized that
transporting it in fully packed trunk wasn't a good idea.

He crashed the lcd display.
It's funny (if it can be funny at all) because display still works
and is only partially coverd by black stains, and rainbow waves around
cracks.

Have anybody any positive experience with exchanging the broken display?
Is it worth to do this by Sony, or maybe it's possible to buy some
old or broken in other way notebook and try to exchange the lcds?

I'll be grateful for any ideas...

Thanks
Jan Slupski

PS.
By the way - it's Vaio GR370.
