I was looking at the Netgear as well.  The WGE101 is said to be a brigde
and the WGR614 is called an Access point / Router.  Only way
to get anything like an accurate description seems to be download
the Manual pdf and wade thru it.  The idea  of Calling tech support and trying
to get a streight answer out of them scares the bejeebers out of me.
