The nvidia drivers you added are now known by Red Hat, since you
installed them apart. So you can't rely on Red Hat's tools anymore to
fulfill the X configuration. I think I remember nvidia explains what you
are supposed to do in your configuration file once you installed the
drivers. Read that document, follow the guidelines and it should be OK.

Basically (IIRC) you need to disable a pair of modules, enable one, and
set your driver to "nvidia". That's not too complicated.
