Re: /proc/acpi/battery

Yes, I have other /proc/acpi directories:

embedded_controller
power_resource

There's nothing under power_resource

Under embedded_controller is

ECO

under this is a file

info


Also in /proc/acpi are these files:

alarm
dsdt
event
fadt
info
sleep

I'm pretty sure acpi is running.  I went through that when I was 
building kernels.  I found out that if apm was configured, acpi wouldn't 
run.  I get acpi messages in /var/log/messages that indicate that acpi 
is mapping the interrupts and so on.
