Hello there,
I'm not the first user to notice that linux doesn't
support the ac adapter and battery. So, I disassembled
the DSDT of my Sattelite L10-113, and saw that the
declaration of my battery is uncomplete. Thus, the dsl
sources show:
Device (SMBC)
{
Name (_HID, "ACPI0001")
Name (_EC, 0x1820)
Device (SBS0)
{
Name (_HID, "ACPI0002")
Name (_SBS, 0x01)
}
}
wheras the _BIF, _BST, _BTP, _PCL and _STA battery
control methods are missing, according to the ACPI
specifications.
I remind you that Toshiba is one of the creators of
the ACPI standard.
That being said, I suggest in this case that Toshiba
thrives to provide an ACPI update of the L10/L15 BIOS.
Or, if not possible, I may try to solve the problem
myself, but I need a least the SB controller specs
used in this laptop, and an example of the used SBST.
Unfortunately, I don't know where to find them.
Thank you for answering my request.
Sincerly,
